Our clearance inventory consists of open-box trees returned within 30 days of their original sale date. These brand new trees are stand-alone items and sold at a discount. These trees are not used and are inspected thoroughly to make sure everything is pristine before being resold.

Q: Are your open box items used?
A: No, these trees are returned within 30 days. The reason for return is almost always because of an incorrect sizing choice or they changed their mind about the lighting type they wanted. They are non-defective and tested before being resold.

Q: What kind of warranty do these trees have?
A: These trees come with a 1-season warranty that covers the first Christmas of the year of purchase. It is guaranteed against defect in lighting and framework.

Q: What sizes and styles do you have available?
A: We have trees starting at 4½' up to 12' versions in varying styles and lighting types. However, the quantities are limited. Once they're gone, they're gone! We suggest finding the type of tree you really like on our website and calling or emailing us for more information on whether or not a given tree is available as an open-box tree.

Q: How are these different from your Budget Buy category trees?
A: Our Budget Buy trees are brand-new and direct from our distribution center just like open-box clearance items. The difference is they have not been opened and are wrapped in all original packaging. Budget Buy trees are overstock of discontinued models that are sold at a discount.

Q: If I buy an open-box tree and something is wrong, what can I do?
A: Just like anything you buy from Tree Classics, you call or email us and we will help you. If something went wrong for whatever reason we will do our best to replace your tree with another if there is a comparable open-box tree in stock. Otherwise, if it is defective for whatever reason, we will arrange to have it picked up from your door by UPS for a full refund within 30 days of the date of sale, guaranteed.
