Living in Oregon, the home of most live & cut fir trees for Christmas, I never thought I'd buy a fake tree. However, recent illness made going out to get a tree nearly impossible. I'd used our aunt's fake tree last year at our vacation home and was pleased with the ambiance it added to our home, so thought this was the year to get one for our main home. My order was filled quickly, and when the box arrived, it was relatively easy to set up and plug in. The only two drawbacks of an artificial tree are: 1. missing the aromatic smell of a freshly cut fir that permeates the room with sweet fir aroma and, 2. inner branch needles a lower quality, thinner plastic that doesn't measure up to the outer needle quality. They didn't detract from the tree's appearance, but they detracted from the total quality of the tree.
Overall, I was pleased with our new tree and will use it repeatedly, so, unfortunately, will take myself out of the market for newly grown Oregon Christmas trees.
